About The Photographer

Photography is a never-ending pursuit of a continously evolving art form. Whether photographing people, cities, events of personal interests or one of our valued clients, the challenge is always to capture that perfect image.

With the advent of the digital camera, photographers now have vast capabilities before them. A single digital image can go from business card to billboard in a matter of minutes.

My name is Scott McCollum. I am a Texas native and Aggie who settled in Bryan-College Station upon graduation from Texas A&M University in 1984.

I have always had a creative side. Over the years, I have explored drawing, woodwork, landscaping, computer graphics and website development. In 2000, I took a photography class and quickly realized that I could fuse my interest in computers with my new found love of digital photography.

My personal philosophy is to continually learn. I surround myself with colleagues in the field, books and tutorials. Each day I make it a point to learn a new aspect about the technicality of photography; grasp a new techique in development; or find new and creative ways to best capture the true essence of the subject on the other side of my lens.

What I hope that means for you is that you receive a final product that not only captured a precious moment in your life creatively, but also with precise focus, lighting and color.
